Campari UK is looking to arrest the long-term decline of Grand Marnier in the UK by targeting the on-trade.

Italian drinks group Gruppo Campari has announced ‘very good results’ for the first half of 2017 with total sales reaching €844.7m, an organic growth of 6.8%.

Gruppo Campari has launched a ‘friendly’ takeover of Société des Produits Marnier Lapostolle SA, owner of the Grand Marnier liqueur brand.

While trading conditions in key markets are far from ideal, leading liqueur brands are stepping up their focus on travel retail, as Joe Bates reports
